LAN WorkPlace Pro is a legacy TCP/IP networking suite for DOS and early Windows PCs. It delivered a complete TCP/IP stack and a set of tools that let personal computers participate on enterprise networks before native TCP/IP was common in the operating system. Typical components included Telnet and FTP clients, an NFS client for file sharing with UNIX systems, LPR/LPD network printing, and drivers for ODI/packet‑based network adapters, with optional SLIP/PPP support for dial‑up connections. Widely used in NetWare and mixed-platform environments, it helped bridge PCs with Internet and UNIX services, streamline remote access, and standardize TCP/IP across fleets of machines. Although now obsolete, it remains relevant for maintaining vintage systems and preserving historical software setups.
LAN WorkPlace Pro is developed by Novell. The most popular version of this product among our users is 5.2. The names of program executable files are PRESEN32.EXE, RAPFLR32.exe and RESIP32.exe.
